We've arrived!

It was a bouncy flight in lightening and rain. But we are both safe
and sound. Kyle is breaking in his new journal.

The hills are pretty wild - they looked like green velvet from the
plane. In this storm, it is tough to see the difference between
mountains and clouds.

And so it begins...

I sat in the airport bar in Boston, eating steak tip salad and
watching the Little League World Series on ESPN - broadcast from the
ballparks of Bristol, Connecticut, my hometown. Kind of a fitting
background, as I got ready to meet my younger brother in Rapid City to
christen our 2 week driving trip through the American northwest.
